PFR at the IOM Southern 100 Road Races

Saturday 21st July 2018

Once again we made the prilgimage to the IOM for our annual trip to the Southern 100 Races. We've been doing the Southern 100 for quite a few years now. My first being in 1999 with fond memories of watching "Yer Maun" smoke the opposition on the Billown Circuit near Castletown. Weather wasn't great when we got there at the start of the week. "Typical IOM" some would say. Those of you that know the place will know that it has its own micro-climate. Once you get used to it...its fine. Racing was of the highest calibre, as it is every year, with lap records being broken and every single rider giving it all. Everyone braver than me! The utmost respect given to every single one of them racing to give us…

Scott Ogden Racing (Knockhill Round 3 British Motostar)

Friday 20th July 2018

Scotts last "British Motorstar Standard Class" Round was at the quirky Knockhill Circuit, near Edinburgh. This was the first time he had seen the track. Free practice on Friday, was pretty much a "learning the circuit" day along with getting to grips with its 'go kart track feel'. He gradually improved his times and a few changes were made to the bike. Saturday morning, he qualified in 6th place in the Standard…

Scott Ogden Racing (British Talent Cup) Rounds 2/3

Monday 25th June 2018

Despite the 6 week break for BSB as some riders took in the TT etc, Scott was still keeping upto speed with the "British Talent Cup" duties at Donington WSB round and Snetterton BSB round. Donington (WSB) Qualified 11th wasn't where Scott wanted to be but knew he had to make the best of this situation....Which is exactly what he did in Race 1 by finishing a brilliant 4th. He was in a dice in the second bunch of riders until he managed to pull away for a credible result given his 11th on the grid. Confidence was pretty good going into the second race. Scott made,…

Scott Ogden Racing #19 (BTC, Round 1 British Motostar)

Friday 20th April 2018

On your marks......Get set......GOOOOO! Scotts 2018 Racing Season is go. British Talent Cup Scotts first meeting was the inaugural "British Talent Cup" (BTC) round run at the BSB first round at Donington Park. Weather wise can only be described as..."Changeable" Practice & Qualifying on the BTC bike was challenging, still learning the bike and how "HRC" want the bike setup compared to his more familiar British Motostar bike..etc. Scott progressed well throughout the whole weekend. He qualified in 15th. However he was on a blinding final lap during qualifying which would have put him in the top 10 but unfortunately tipped off at the final corner. Race 1: 11th Race 2: Abandoned due to Heavy Rain and track conditions. Next BTC round…

Scott Ogden Racing #19 (Winter Testing Update)

Tuesday 27th March 2018

Scott has now completed his intensive test schedule at Valencia and Cartagena. This also culminated with the British Talent Cup (BTC) event over the last three days in Valencia. Scott has learnt that he is fast and can run in the top three. His times were excellent at Cartagena and he was (unofficially), the quickest Brit and mixed it with the double North European Cup (ADAC) winner, Dirk Geiger. Hard to believe that just over a year ago he was on a Metrakit 70. Valencia and the BTC event was…

2018 testing started last week for our British Moto3 supported Rider "Scott Ogden #19" Good conditions, but slightly cold, enabled Scott, and the Wilson Racing team, time to get the bike dialled in and much needed tracktime after the winter lay off. Positive progress was made throughout the whole…
