Scott Ogden Racing. (British Talent Cup)

Sunday 21st July 2019

PFR Supported...British Motostars and British Talent Cup rider Scott Ogden has been a busy bunny during the summer months, not without its challenges to himself and the Scott Ogden Racing team.

Here's a round up of how things have been going since our last update.

British Talent Cup (BTC)
3 rounds "6 Races' of the BTC have taken place that's seen Scott keep his 100% Podiums intact.

Donington "National Circuit",at the end of May supporting the British Superbikes (BSB), saw Scott achieve a 2nd in Race 1 and 1st in Race 2...to leave with a Championship lead of 20pts

Next up he was back at Donington early July, this time supporting the World Superbikes on the full Gp Circuit. Despite mixed conditions throughout the weekend Scott rode solidly to a 1st in Race 1 followed up by a 3rd in Race 2. Still leading the championship by 17pts however a few points were dropped to Cameron Horsman who is 2nd in the BTC Championship.

Back in action at Snetterton, supporting the British Superbikes again on the 19th to the 21st July.
Qualifying didn't quite go to plan, to say the least.
Having got up to 2nd fastest in FP2...in qualifying he's was involved in an incident with a back marker which put Scott on the grass and so he didn't achieve a qualifying time.
This left him "19th" on the grid for both races while his championship rival, Cameron Horsman, was on the front row.

A weekend for damage limitation was required!

Scott rode absolutely amazing in both races.
From 19th on the grid he achieved a 3rd in Race 1 on wet tyres on a very dry track.
In Race 2 he was again settled for a great ride to 3rd as the leaders, Horsman & Seabright, had a lead that was just a little too far for Scott to catch.
However, in the very last corner Seabright suffered a massive highside to give Horsman the win and Scott inherited 2nd

100% Podiums STILL intact

In BTC...Scott now goes to support the MotoGp Paddock in BRNO in August with a 12pt lead in the BTC Championship with 4 races left.

We will let you know how he goes.
